Our HP athletes compete or aspire to compete at Olympic/World Championship level. They have a proven record of success at major international competitions and train 6 days per week, year round.
The KKZ Senior Competition Team is for sprint kayak athletes over the age of 14. They train 2-6 days per week, and compete in Slovenia and abroad.
KKZ encourages athletes aged 8-13 to join the Junior Competition Team. They train 2-4 days per week, year round and compete in Slovenia and abroad.
The Kids Kayak School runs from April-August for children aged 7-14. It introduces children to water safety and the sport of flatwater kayaking.
During the winter months KKZ offers a multi-sport program for kids aged 7-13. This program focus on developing, strength, fitness and general physical literacy.
For those wishing to improve their flatwater kayaking skills in a more accelerated way, or those who can’t attend regular session times, KKZ offers group and individual lessons and paddling clinics.
KKZ offers kids summer camps, a girls camp, training camps abroad and camps for visiting athletes and teams.
KKZ holds regular Family Days, social events, and Try-Out days for members and people of all ages wishing to try kayaking.

Founded in early 2022, KKZ is a non-profit club committed to removing barriers to sports participation and building a strong community connected by a love of sport and the natural environment. Our athletes range from those taking their first strokes on the water, to elite athletes competing at World Championships.
